Arnold-Palmer Hospital comes to visit Water Oak
October 2nd the Quilters packed up quilts 70, hats 98, tabbies 125, pillow cases 125, bears 30, incubator quilts 11 and Santa Sacks 50 to be filled with toys, for all the good little boys and girls in the Arnold Palmer Hospital on Christmas Day. Representatives from Arnold-Palmer Hospital were coming to visit on Thursday, October 4th and we wanted to be ready to give them the items we had made for them. Creative Needles joined us for this event.
Arnold-Palmer Hospital has a Luncheon in February, to thank all the clubs who donate items to them throughout the year, at that time we donated to them: quilts 21, pillowcases 125, Tabbies 50, hats 76, incubator quilts 12 making our total of 793 donated items for the year to Arnold Palmer Hospital.
We also have items to deliver to Leesburg and Waterman Hospitals, 40 quilts for the Honor Flight on October 31,2018, 200 Christmas stockings goes to Operation Shoebox and quilts to Shepherd’s Lighthouse in Belleview. We have reached a record number of items donated this year, we would not have been able to do this without your support with baked goods for our baked sale, you buying tickets for our raffle quilts and the cash and fabric that you have donate to us. Water Oak Quilters want to
say a big THANK YOU to our WO residents and clubs that support us.
